Veolia Environment Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2011
Two of the most prestigious environmental institutions -The Natural History Museum of London and the BBC Wildlife Magazine- have once again teamed up for the 47th Veolia Environment Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition.
The competition features nearly one dozen categories, the most interesting of which for underwater photographers are the “Animals in their Environment,” “The Underwater World,” and “Nature in Black and White.” Other distinctive categories include “Veolia Environment Young Wildlife Photographer of the Year” for photographers under the age of 17, and the “Gerald Durrell Award for Endangered Wildlife.”
While names like Tony Wu and Michael AW have taken home awards in “The Underwater World” category in recent years, there is no reason you can't bring underwater photography to the forefront of some of the other categories!
The deadline for entries is March 18, and more information can be found on the competition website.
