The University of South Florida and Mote Marine Laboratory in Sarasota have made a three-year relationship official with a formal agreement to join forces on science, education and economic development projects.
Mote and USF's College of Marine Science regularly work together in research on red tide, fisheries management, marine mammals, sharks and the effect of toxic substances on the marine environment.
The new agreement, announced today, will enable them to collaborate on research and technology transfer projects in other disciplines. It will also open up opportunities for new research grants and funding.
