DPG contributor Cal Mero passed along this amazing story:
A “hell-lava” event is going on in the Canary Islands. An enormous underwater volcano has forced the evacuation of 600 people in the islands’ most southern island, nearly a month after first signs of eruption appeared.
Explosions from the volcano have shot into the sky over 75 feet from sea level, captured on video here. Bubbling sea water and toxic fumes have also killed thousands off fish, which have washed on shore.
