
UK Great White Shark Claim 'scaremongering'

Coastguards and shark experts have dismissed claims of a great white shark sighting off the Cornish coast as 'scaremongering'. An unidentified creature was filmed breaching near a pod of dolphins 200m off the coast of St Ives by holidaymaker Richard Fletcher.
The Sun newspaper run a front page story on Saturday headlined 'Great White Shark off UK' with Fletcher, of South Yorkshire, describing the shark as 'the 12ft-maneater'. However, shark experts said it was impossible to make a conclusive identification and said such stories were 'irresponsible'...
