With the recent batch of Apple MacBook Pro being released, Intel has revealed that Canon’s Video Products Group is excited about the speed their Thunderbolt technology can offer.
“We are excited about Thunderbolt technology,” said Hiroo Edakubo, Group Executive of Canon’s Video Products Group, “and feel it will bring new levels of performance and simplicity to the video creation market.”
This is not exactly a promise that Thunderbolt will be included in future Canon DSLR video enabled cameras, but it would be a big step for models like the 5D Mark II, which are looking to balance the speed and efficiency of their still shooting with HD video.
