Tamron, Tokina Join Micro-Four Thirds Group
My knock on the Micro-Four thirds system, and really EVIL cameras at large, has always been that the lens selection for underwater photography is too limited. As it stands right now, to move from an SLR to a Micro Four Thirds camera, means to sacrifice great glass for lenses that merely suffice. This is changing fast, and there are now a good selection of lenses for underwater shooters. It should get even better too.
Recently, Sigma announced their first line up of Micro Four Thirds (and Sony NEX) lenses, and now Tokina and Tamron have joined the team. Tokina, maker of the popular Tokina 10-17mm fisheye, is especially interesting to keep on eye on. Unfortunately, no future plans or intentions were announced, but a great sign for Micro Four Thirds fans.
