Tail Walking on Water

Recently it was discovered that wild dolphins are not only capable of tail walking on water, they have been found teaching other members of their group to do it as well.  Previously this behavior was only believed to occur in captive dolphins who underwent training.

This group of wild tail walking dolphins was witnessed in Adelaide, the south coast of Australia.  One theory of this phenomena is that twenty years ago a sick dolphin (wild) who shared some time in a dolphinarium recovering might have learned it from seeing the captive dolphins in training.  Another theory from researchers believes that it is a habit that formed within this community of dolphins...
