Subal Housings For Nikon D3 and D300 Available Soon

Editor's note: We caught up with Rolf from Subal at DEMA last year, and we were able to see prototypes for the latest Canon housings. We've been waiting to see one of the Nikon prototypes, but apparently we'll have to settle for pictures and reports. our friends at Digifish in the Netherlands posted the following release.

 

Subal has introduced two new Nikon underwater housings: the ND3 for the D3 and the ND30 for the D300.

With these new housings Subal follows the very successful and supremely approved design strategy of the new generation of aluminum underwater housings.

The camera is mounted on a saddle for precise positioning inside the housing. Ergonomic placement of all important controls provides convenient and comfortable handling of the camera functions. A 4 mm main-O-ring and the Subal QuickLock latching system make it virtually impossible to close the lid if the O-ring is not lying correctly in its groove. Maximum security is assured. Threaded holes on the base and in the top shoe allows mounting of trays, aiming lights or other accessories...
