Subal has announced its ND850 housing for the new Nikon D850 full-frame DSLR. Finished in Subal’s signature powder coated paint, the aluminum housing—lighter than most previous Subal housings, according to the company—is designed to offer full access to the camera’s controls and functions while keeping both hands on the integrated handles.
Strobes from various manufacturers can be triggered both electrically and optically, and the housing is compatible with the Subal TTL V2 system, which supports strobes such as the Ikelite DS161, Sea&Sea YS-D2, and Inon Z-240. The standard housing is depth-rated to 80m (260ft) but a 120m (400ft) version is also available.
Shipping from mid-November, the ND850 is priced at €3490 for export.
