
Spread of Coral Disease

Rising sea temperatures have set the stage for rising virulent coral disease worldwide. Scientists warn that global rising temperatures have already claimed miles of corals around the caribbean in the past. Coral Bleaching and coral disease work away exterminating reefs. Like all living organisms, when under stress, corals are known to become vulnerable to disease and death.
An array of coral diseases has been identified in the Indo Pacific area, including the Great Barrier Reef.
