Sony Unveils World's Thinnest Waterproof Camera - The DSC-TX5
By Matt J. Weiss, February 22, 2010 @ 09:44 PM (EST)
As expected Sony has announced the DSC-TX5 the thinnest rugged camera that is waterproof up to 3 meters. Like the rest of the "rugged" cameras, you can drop it, take it swimming and take it sub freezing temperatures. Where the TX5 stands out is in its size, at only 0.69" thin on its thinnest side, making it the thinnest waterproof camera.
Other features include a 10.2MP CMOS sensor, a nice sized 3.0" touchscreen but only gets 720p video instead of the expected 1080p. Full Specs in the Equipment Section
