Shutter Shark 2009 Photo Contest Winners Announced

October 2, 2009 marked the announcement of the winners of the second student amateur photography contest at the NSU Oceanographic Center, Shutter Shark 2009. Twenty-two students submitted over 150 photographs to the following five categories:

  • Best Macro
  • Best Black and White
  • Best Vertebrate
  • Best Invertebrate
  • Best Topside

The 2009 judging panel consisted of members from the OC faculty and from the South Florida Underwater Photography Society, The judges awarded prizes to the top three photographs in each category as well as declaring one image "Best Overall".
