 May 13, 2009 @ 11:00 AM (EST)

The Save Our Seas Foundation Sharks of the World Field Guide is now available as an iPhone application for free.

The guide which has been described by leading shark scientists as an ".....exceptionally well-produced book, written by the leading authorities on shark systematics and conservation" and "...a must buy for anyone interested in identifying sharks", was written by SOSF's Dr Leonard Compagno and the IUCN's Shark Specialist Group's Sarah Fowler, with stunning illustrations by Marc Dando.

The guide describes all 440 species of shark and the expert text covers numerous topics, from their behaviour, breeding, feeding and ecology, right through to the impact of humans on sharks throughout the world. Click on the image below to access the free application via iTunes.
