
Seven Whale Sharks Rescued Off Veraval Port In Last 4 Days

As many as seven whale sharks have been rescued off Veraval coast in the last four days. Between October 7 and October 9, four mid-sea rescue operations were carried out during which four whale sharks trapped in fishing nets were freed, said Veraval RFO K R Vaghasia.
In a separate incident, a 30-foot-long whale sharkus carcass was reportedly found lying on the shore, behind Somnath temple on Thursday. After a spot post-mortem, the carcass was buried at the same spot from where it was found. The whale shark may have died a week ago, said an official...
