
Seahorses Are Not Monogamous: Study

Contrary to popular belief, seahorses are not monogamous, but are very much promiscuous. In fact researchers from the UK, who studied 90 seahorses from Australia, Caribbean and the Channel, say that they may also be a bit gay as well.
The scientists recorded 3,168 encounters among which 37 per cent were same-sex ones. The researchers from 15 Sea Life Centre in Britain found that the Australian big-bellied seahorse was by far the raciest. It mated several times a day with both males as well as females, they added...
