The silver Seacam housing for the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV is now shipping, according to a Facebook post from the company.
Typical with Seacam housings, the product is machined out of a saltwater-proof light metal alloy. The post mentions that mounting the camera in the housing is especially easy due to “special construction.” There are also double sealing with precise o-rings and a titanium safety lock to keep the system secure.
Good news for owners of a Seacam 5D Mark III housing: The company can modify a few buttons to make it work for the newest Canon iteration. However, once the changes are made, the housing will no longer be backwards compatible.
Learn more about the new housing and upgrading possibilities in the Seacam Facebook post.
