Sea Lions Cause Splash In Art World

A PAIR of sea lions living in a wildpark in north Devon are aiming to make waves in the art world after learning to paint.
Morgan and Aero were taught to hold brushes in their mouths as a way of stimulating their minds in captivity.
The pair have now created a number of art works which will go on sale to raise money for the Marine Conservation Society (MCS).
Their trainer, Nikki Morrison from the Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park near Ilfracombe, said six-year-old Morgan and three-year-old Aero enjoyed their work.
Miss Morrison said that, like all great artists, their style varies with their mood.
The 26-year-old said: ``The painting was one of the ideas we tried out to see if they would like it and the sea lions seem to get a lot of enjoyment out of it.
