Sea&Sea has announced the Optical YS Converter/CR for their MDX housing for the new Canon EOS R full-frame mirrorless camera. The converter attaches to the camera’s hotshoe and turns the TTL signal into an LED light signal, making both TTL and manual strobe exposure possible.
The converter works with Sea&Sea’s YS-D2 as well as the company’s discontinued YS-D1 strobe. Once the converter is installed, it’s possible to switch between TTL and manual modes by pushing the mode switch on the housing. The converter is powered by two AAA batteries.
The Optical YS Converter/CR will retail for $500. Contact your local dealer for availability.
