Sea&Sea Announces Compact Dome Ports for Fisheye Lenses
By Ian Bongso-Seldrup, October 24, 2017 @ 09:00 PM (EST)

Sea&Sea has announced a new compact dome port designed for fisheye lenses. Just 100mm (less than 4") in diameter, the Optical Dome Port II 100 comes in three sizes designed exclusively for specific lenses: “S” is for the Nikon 10.5mm fisheye for DX format; “M” is for the Tokina 10–17mm fisheye (Nikon and Canon mounts); and “L” is for the Canon 8–15mm fisheye and Nikon 8–15mm fisheye, which offer frame-filling to circular fisheye coverage on full-frame DSLRs.

The domes, which are depth-rated to 330 feet, use high-quality BK7 crystal glass and feature two different anti-reflective coatings to optimize image quality. A silicon-dioxide coating on the interior of the dome is designed to suppress flare and ghosting. The body is plastic while the shade is made of a corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy. The three dome ports weigh in at 13.1oz, 14.9oz and 15.9oz, respectively.

Pricing is yet to be confirmed.
