Samyang Reveals Prototype for Micro Four Thirds 7.5 Fisheye
Samyan Optics, makers of interchangeable SLR lenses, has hopped on to the Micro Four thirds train this week, by releasing photos of a prototype 7.5mm F5.3 fisheye lens at the Focus on Imaging trade show in Birmingham, UK.
This prototype comes after other lens manufacturers –notably Sigma- revealed their own plans to enter the promising mirrorless and four thirds market. According to Samyam, the new 7.5mm is significantly more compact than its existing 8mm SLR lens.

The press release for the new lens prototype formally announced Samyan’s plans to design a full light of lenses for the interchangeable-lens compact camera market. More information on these plans and the new lens can be found on Samyan’s website.
