Rumor of Nikon Mirrorless Camera Coming Soon
By Joseph Tepper, August 5, 2011 @ 07:00 AM (EST)
With the expected announcement of a replacement for the D700 and D3 later this month, Nikon rumor websites are also reporting the possibility of an all new side of Nikon in September- a mirrorless camera.
Unnamed sources revealed the possible release of a Nikon mirrorless system, known within the company as the X810, with a 1-inch 2.7x crop sensor. These same sources believe that the camera’s release will likely be in September, but almost certainly before CES show in January.
In addition to the body, three new lenses are expected to accompany the launch- a “wide angle prime, kit zoom, and telephoto zoom.”
