RAID (Rebreather Association of International Divers), had already expanded its training curriculum to encompass recreational and open circuit programs since first being founded in 2007. Recently, the dive training organization has partnered with UK-based Blue Duck Photography, to offer a new underwater photography course. Led by Phil and Anne Medcalf in partnership with Paul “Duxy” Duxfield, Blue Duck Photography offers underwater photography sales and training services for both aspiring and seasoned underwater photographers.
According to a RAID blog post, “Digital photography is advancing at a rapid pace, with more divers than ever before keen to record their aquatic adventures. So Blue Duck Photography needed a dive agency partner that placed emphasis on high quality in water skills from the outset.” An online course is planned to go live within the next few months, followed by a subsequent live module that will cover in-water skills including a RAID instructor assessment.
