
Protect Dive Tourism

EFFORTS by Barbados and other Caribbean destinations to cash in further on the billion dollar dive tourism industry is under serious threat.
The twin culprits are coastal and marine pollution, warned three international organisations concerned with environmental matters.
According to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the Australian Institute of Marine Sciences (AIMS), things were not looking very rosy in 2005 and beyond because of the threats mentioned.
