It’s been a while since Panasonic previewed it’s full-frame mirrorless S1 and S1R at Photokina, with some mouthwatering specs to make Nikon and Canon shiver. And now, Panasonic has produced a new teaser video that tells the LUMIX S “Design Story.”
The video doesn’t tell us more than what we already know—like the 24MP (S1) and 47MP (S1R) resolution, the fact that the system is built around Leica’s L-mount, the 4K60p video, and the dual memory card slots (SD and XQD)—but it does give a tantalizing (if superficial) look at the design choices that went into the cameras. Panasonic has also recently published a video of pro fashion photographer and Lumix ambassador Bernard Bertrand giving his first thoughts on the new cameras.
Like you, we’re waiting for 2019 to roll around for the official release—and the inevitable slew of underwater housings that will be emerging soon after.
