Panasonic Expands HD Lens Lineup with Firmware Update

By Joseph Tepper, September 16, 2011 @ 07:00 AM (EST)

A new firmware update from Panasonic will allow a greater selection of Lumix G series lenses to be optimized for shooting HD video.

The Lumix lenses are designed to “excel in tracking focus in video recording while offering silent auto focus and exposure control.” Additionally, there will be enhanced stability of O.I.S. (optical image stabilizer) during video recording. Lenses included in this firmware update are the Lumix G 14mm, 14-42mm, 8mm fisheye, 100-300mm, 7-14mm, 14-45mm, and 45-200mm.

For more information on these updates or to download the firmware update, please visit the Panasonic support page
