See that dark and mysterious camera? That’s the Panasonic Lumix S5, a new full-frame mirrorless camera that will be announced—via a livestream event—on September 2nd, at 10am ET. And that, folks, is about all we know, officially at least.
There are, of course, a few “leaks” pertaining to the specs of the S5: It’s rumored to be a third (or so) lighter than the S1, apparently the full-frame CMOS sensor is around about 24 megapixels, and there’s allegedly dual native ISO. Oh, and the tagline is “Moving Images Forward”—clever, eh?—which suggests that its hybrid chops will wow still and video shooters alike.
So, there you go, something to look forward to… Needless to say, if you do manage to miss the event, just come on over to DPG and we’ll let you know what all the excitement was about.
