Oops! Dad Records Selfie Instead of Daughter’s Graduation
By Joseph Tepper, May 29, 2018 @ 10:39 AM (EST)
There are tons of “classic” underwater photography mistakes—leaving the lens cap on, forgetting the memory card, or not charging strobe batteries. But one blunder by a father attending his daughter’s graduation might take the cake.
A proud father thought he was capturing footage of his daughter walking across the stage at her graduation when – in fact – the camera was pointed at his own smiling face. He eventually realizes the gaff and calls himself a “numbskull” for realizing the selfie screw up.
You could look at this as the missed chance to capture a once-in-a-lifetime event. Or…is it just cleverly captured b-roll footage of the gleaming father’s reaction? Regardless, the resulting video is worth a view and a chuckle. Warning: There is some (predictably) strong language used upon discovery of the mistake.
