Late last year, we shared with you the news of ON1—a RAW conversion and editing software that hoped to compete with Adobe’s Lightroom. Well, the competition is getting closer with the release of a significant update for the program.
ON1 Photo RAW version 2018.1 improves ISO noise reduction, increases image sharpening capabilities, and adds more accurate HDR merging capabilities. As well – although not significant for underwater photography – the update includes the option to tether certain Nikon and Canon cameras to the program on your computer.
“Version 2018.1 isn’t just about the new features, although there are many powerful new additions," ON1 Director of Product Dan Harlacher has said. "Image quality and performance are the top priorities in every update, and we are very excited for our customers to experience these improvements for themselves in this update."
You can learn more about the update or the software on the ON1 website.
