Olympus Updates XZ-1 Firmware
By Joseph Tepper, April 13, 2011 @ 07:15 PM (EST)
Today, Olympus announced the release of a firmware update for the XZ-1. Version 1.2 has several improvements to the previous firmware including picture orientation capabilities: the camera will record which way the image was oriented when captured, so in playback, the orientation of an image can be rotated by using the control ring.
This firmware can be downloaded and installed by launching you Olympus software and connecting your camera to an Internet enabled computer with USB cable. For more information on the firmware, you can visit the Olympus software page.
