
Olympus Announces XZ-10 Compact in USA

It’s been a long 21 days for American Olympus compact fans.
Three weeks ago, the company announced the international release of the new XZ-10. And now today, Olympus USA has given word of the stateside release for the enthusiast level compact.
The XZ-10 is a more affordable sibling to the XZ-2, featuring a 12MP 1/2.3” backlit CMOS sensor. Other features include:
- 26-130mm F1.8-2.7 lens
- ISO up to 6400
- Sensor-shift image stabilization
- 3-inch 920k dot touch LCD screen

The camera offers a full set of manual controls along with a customizable control ring around the lens. It is expected to retail for $399 beginning in March 2013.
