Nikon D3x: Confirmed Fits In Underwater Housings
By Jason Heller, December 8, 2008 @ 02:00 AM (EST)
I received an email from our friend Berkley White of Backscatter yesterday, who somehow magically got his hands on the one Nikon D3x to make its way to the west coast. He had noticed that the only difference on the D3x body was the camera strap mount and was initially concerned that it may not fit in the D3 housings. Now THAT would have been horrible. I could see it now, underwater photographers hacking off the strap mounts on our $8,000 Nikon D3x! But rest assure, Berkley found that the D3x fits like a glove in existing Nikon D3 housings from Sea&Sea, Subal, and (assumed) Aquatica. Owners of Nikon D3 underwater housings can rest easy (myself included.
