Nikon Releases Firmware Updates for D7000 and D5100
Buy one get one free. Actually they’re both free, but Nikon has announced separate firmware updates for their D7000 and D5100 DSLRs. Both updates fix a problem where the cameras didn’t recognize a memory card, while the D7000 also includes more improvements.
“Several problems were all related to turning the camera's Mode dial to or from either of the User modes while the camera was powered off or the metering system was inactive. If this was done, the D7000 would sometimes prematurely create a new image folder, fail to display the number of exposures remaining at current settings, or switch the role of the secondary flash card without being commanded to do so.”
