A new report claims that Nikon is developing not one, but two full frame mirrorless cameras. The cameras are rumored to come in two different megapixel and price ranges: The first will sit around 24-25 megapixels ($2000 with kit lens) and the second boasting up to a 48-megapixel sensor ($3000 with kit lens).
As a comparison, Sony offers various models of its full frame mirrorless cameras to reach different consumer levels and for various specific photography purposes. The Nikon mirrorless cameras are expected to be sized roughly the same as the Sony A7 camera.
Nikon Rumors has the full report and hails the Nikon design as one with ““better ergonomics and a better grip.” Both cameras are expected to feature 5-axis stabilization, 9fps continuous shooting, 4K video recording, and a 3.6-million-dot EVF.
And now for the timing: It is possible that we may see a formal announcement much sooner than expected. Nikon Rumors says the official announcement may come as early as the end of July 2018.
