By Joseph Tepper, October 18, 2011 @ 07:00 AM (EST)
This week, Nikon announced that their famed Nikkor Lenses have officially hit the 65 million mark.
The legacy began in 1959, when Nikon released its first SLR and first interchangeable lens- including the Nikkor-S Auto 5cm f/2. Both Nikon and Canon announced lens production around the 60 million mark in spring of last year, with both companies expanding their selection with several FX and DX lenses in 2011.
