New Species Found by BBC Crew in Pacific Ocean

We all enjoy watching the underwater series and documentaries on TV like Blue Planet and Planet Earth.  Recently as BBC was filming a new series where they discovered 13 new fish species.  It gives hope to see that in an ocean that has been devastated with destruction, scientists' efforts can still yield discoveries of new species.

The marine biologists have discovered 15 additional species they think may also be new to science but require additional study.

According to BBC the haul comes from deep dives made across reefs in Micronesia.

The quest to find the novel fish is detailed in the series Pacific Abyss and includes the capture of a long-sought and spectacular damselfish.

The team concentrated its efforts on waters referred to as the "twilight zone".
