Sony made quite a splash at the Consumer Electronics Show this week by introducing several new digital camera and camcorder models, including two new glasses-free 3D camcorders.
The first of the camcorders, named the Bloggie pocket camera, displays the 1080p 3D footage on its 2.4” glasses-free LCD screen and will sell for $200. The “Double full HD” 3D camcorder is the larger model, which features two individual lenses and sensors, expecting to retail around $1500.
Sony also announced a new line of its Coolpix cameras that will include a 3D capability by shooting consecutive images to somehow produce the facsimile result of separate image sensors. The press release can be read in full on the Sony website.
