Ever wonder where Atlantic Great Whites go on vacation during the winter months?
New data from GPS satellite tags has revealed the year-round migration of the Atlantic Great White—and the results show anything but a pattern. Or in the words of shark researcher, Greg Skomal, “There’s no frickin’ pattern at all.”
The results are both exciting as it’s the first project of this scope in the Atlantic, but puzzling as researchers will continue to try to understand the motivation between the variation in migration: Roaming as far south as the Bahamas and as far north as Newfoundland.
