New 11-16mm Lens from Tokina
Today, Tokina announced an improved version of their 11-16mm f2.8 wide-angle zoom lens for both Nikon and Canon mounts.
The lens features a SD-M (silent drive-module) autofocus motor (AF-S equivalent), making the new 11-16mm compatible with DSLRs lacking an integrated autofocus motor. Other improvements include a new coating for improved performance and an aspherical element. The minimum focus for the lens is just less than a 12 inches, so a diopter may be required depending on your dome port choice.

The new Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 lens is expected to retail for around $1200 and the Nikon version should ship sometime in March. For more information, please visit the product page here.
