Nauticam Announces Housing for Olympus E-PL3

By Joseph Tepper, October 28, 2011 @ 12:50 PM (EST)

Friday housing madness continues with the announcement of Nauticam’s housing for the Olympus E-PL3: the NA-EPL3.

As part of the pre-DEMA season, Nauticam’s aluminum housing for the PEN 3 (E-PL3) continues the company’s effort to extend their line of housings for EVIL and micro four-thirds cameras. The housing is depth rated to 300 feet and features many of the same EVIL housing improvements as the recently released Nauticam NA-GF3 for the LUMIX.

One change that Nauticam has stressed is a redesigned “video record” button, which now has a larger, concave use to improve use. As mirrorless, large sensor cameras continue to increase in popularity, the availability and selection of lens/port combinations continues to improve. Nauticam features ports and zoom gears for Olympus 14-42mm, and Olympus 9-18mm, plus the Panasonic Lumix 14-42mm, the Panasonic Lumix 14mm/2.5, the Panasonic Lumix 8mm Fisheye, Panasonic Lumix 7-14mm, and the Leica 45mm macro.

Nauticam did not list pricing information or availability on their website, but DPG will share our first hand impressions of this and all other new underwater photography equipment from the DEMA floor next week!
