IT'S A haven for turtles and dugongs, an angler's paradise and a natural tourism drawcard just minutes from one of Australia's major cities.
But scientists are warning Brisbane's Moreton Bay may soon become a barren water wasteland. Mismanagement and overuse have led to depleted fish stocks and polluted water, and corals, seagrass beds and animals are now under threat.
Scientists say it's a prime example of how the natural beauty of an area can become its downfall...
