The Caribbean Challenge will be proposed on Thursday in Antigua in the Intergovernmental Meeting that is attended by the governments of different Caribbean nations.
The idea behind the Caribbean Challenge will be to protect a minimum of twenty percent of the Caribbean’s near-shore marine areas by 2020.
The project has taken into consideration that the task at hand will cost money, and plans on creating a financial proposal as well.
So far the Caribbean Challenge is backed by the Bahamas, Grenada, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica and is open to any countries that are willing to support during its design phase.
