Losing Legends - Two Underwater Videographers Die In Helicopter Crash
By Matt J. Weiss, February 6, 2012 @ 03:01 PM (EST)
The underwater imaging community has lost two of its finest after a tragic helicopter crash claimed the lives of Mike DeGruy and Andrew Wright. Apparently, they were scouting locations for an upcoming shoot when their aircraft crashed soon after takeoff.
National Geographic and James Cameron confirmed the victims through a joint statement, which discussed the long list of accomplishments of the two filmmakers.
The underwater imaging community is small, passionate and tight knit. It always hurts to lose our own. Deepest condolences to the families of both men.
