Marine Life Photo Exhibition To Benefit Marine Charities

I love when photography is used to promote ocean conservation. Out of sight out of mind is no longer an excuse. I was pretty excited to see that in the Falkland Islands they were displaying and selling photographs of penguins in order to help protect penguins from oil spills. As you probably know, oil spills are a major threat to sea birds like penguins. The birds use preen oil to keep themselves waterproof and clean themselves. They preen themselves when covered in oil ingesting its poison.
DPG applauds the Falkland Islands and the artists for using photography for a great cause. It may not be huge news, but its nice to see.
