Adobe has released version 7.2 of Lightroom Classic, the desktop app previously known as Lightroom. (If you recall, Adobe also created a separate cloud-based “lite version” of Lightroom, called Lightroom CC.)
According to Adobe’s blog, the most significant updates are about performance. The slowing down of the software reported by many users has now apparently been fixed. Also, for those using powerful machines with 12GB or more RAM, Adobe says resource-intensive activities like import and export will run faster.
Minor tweaks include the ability to search for folders and mark them as favorites, sort edited and unedited images, and more easily create Collections or Collection Sets. Adobe has also released version 10.2 of Adobe Camera Raw, and updated the “non-Classic” Lightroom CC ecosystem, including Mac, Windows, Android, and iOS apps.
