Sea turtles will soon return to the beach for the nesting season. So
county officials are sponsoring a daylong session on lighting and how
to help beachfront properties comply with sea-turtle rules.
Staff from Volusia environmental management will host the lighting extravaganza from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 30 at the Marine Science Center, 100 Lighthouse Drive in Ponce Inlet. Marine turtles nest on the beach from May 1 to Oct. 31.
