Caranx Informática Ltda has launched the latest fish ID app for Apple devices- “Marine Fishes- Identification Guide.” This new application features a fully interactive and colorful display designed to make the challenge of identifying fish more fun.

“Besides many other things, has 170 descriptive fish cards, hundreds of color illustrations that goes by with a flick of your finger, color photos and similar species are presented in a very interesting and well-done rotational system,” explains Marcelo Szpilman, director at Caranx. “So much so that you can visually identify more than 200 species of marine fishes. Still has a dictionary of common names in Portuguese, English, and Spanish and two quite nice games to entertain and exercise fish identification.”

The application is currently available for iPad for $9.99, as well as the iPhone and iPod Touch for $6.99. There is also an Android version to be released soon. For more information, please visit the iTunes website page for the application.
