Kenko-Tokina Announces Tokina SD 17-35mm F4 AT-X Pro FX

The newly merged Kenko-Tokina company has announced the latest lens for full frame SLRs- the TokinaSD 17-35mm F4 AT-X Pro FX.

According to the company, the F4 maximum aperture on this semi-fast wide-angle zoom makes it easier to “produce a smaller lens with fewer aberrations.” The lens’ “SD” glass offers similar properties to fluorite elements, and its “silent drive module” AF motor and AF position sensor will provide quick, accurate focusing, according to designers.

The company has not released any information regarding pricing or availability for distributors outside of Japan. For more information, please visit the official Tokina lens page
