By Ian Bongso-Seldrup, May 8, 2019 @ 12:00 PM (EST)

Isotta has unveiled its underwater housing for the Panasonic Lumix LX10—the Italian brand’s first for a Panasonic compact camera. The LX10, which is known as the LX15 in some markets, boasts a 20MP 1-inch sensor, a 24–72mm equivalent f/1.4–2.8 built-in lens, 7fps continuous shooting with AF, and 4K video up to 30p.

The made-in-Italy housing, in Isotta’s distinctive red, has an anodized aluminum body and features ergonomic levers, knobs and buttons to control the camera’s principal functions as well as the one-handed open/close that Isotta housings are known for.

A window in the front of the housing, which includes a built-in diffuser, allows users to make direct use of the camera’s flash. Alternatively, single or dual strobes can be connected via fiber-optic cables. The port sports a standard 67mm thread for attaching macro and wide-angle wet lenses. There’s also an integrated moisture alarm.

Shipping this month, the housing has an MSRP of €950 and is available at Backscatter, priced at $950.
