Ikelite Updates Sync Cords
By Joseph Tepper, September 26, 2018 @ 09:30 AM (EST)

Ikelite has announced that beginning this month the company will begin transitioning the material of their sync cord plugs and bulkheads from nickel-plated brass to hard anodized aluminum.

“This material change represents a significant reduction in weight combined with non-conductivity and equivalent corrosion resistance,” Ikelite says in a statement on their website.

It will be fairly easy to differentiate the old plugs from the new, as the nickel-plated brass components are silver and the anodized aluminum ones are black. Ikelite also notes that the older plugs will be compatible with the new anodized aluminum bulkheads. Check out the Ikelite website for more information and updated product numbers.
