Ikelite Releases Six-Inch Dome Ports for Mirrorless Housings
By Ian Bongso-Seldrup, August 8, 2017 @ 02:30 AM (EST)

Ikelite has released two new extended dome ports for its mirrorless housings. The dome ports provide zoom function for most mirrorless interchangeable zoom lenses when used with the relevant zoom gear, allowing you to take full advantage of your lenses’ angle of view.

The six-inch diameter domes are made from optical-grade acrylic for a lightweight alternative to glass but offering a similar optical quality. One dome (Product Number 5516.16) is extended 0.375 inches, while the other (Product Number 5516.17) is extended 1 inch.

The domes will retail for $375 and $400, respectively, for the former and the latter. The new ports are additions to Ikelite’s Dry Lock Micro (DLM) lens port system, which accommodates Olympus and Panasonic Micro 4/3 lenses, Canon EF-M lenses, and Sony E-Mount lenses.
